Psychological Services:
The first session is typically an initial consult and only the parent(s) attends this meeting. If psychological testing is deemed appropriate then a follow-up appointment will be made for the parent(s) and child. After testing is completed a feedback session will be scheduled and a report will be issued.
Cancellation:
Once an appointment is scheduled, please notify me 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel. Things come up and children often get sick, but where possible, please provide me with enough time to schedule another client.
Fee:
My fee for an initial consult is $350. If testing is the next step then a fee will be set depending on the age of the child and the type of evaluation necessary (e.g., neuropsychological, developmental, psychoeducational, etc.,). The fee includes the evaluation and report, a 1-hour feedback session with parents (and students as deemed appropriate), and telephone conferences with teachers and/or therapists that may be involved in the child’s treatment. The fee does not include attending meetings or visiting schools. If those services are deemed necessary then they are billed at an hourly rate of $250 plus transportation time. Only checks, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted at the present time. Bills that are thirty days past due may be placed in collection. I will inform you before I take that measure to provide you with the opportunity to pay promptly.
Health Insurance:
I will provide you with a bill that you may submit to your insurance company. Testing may not be covered by health insurance and it is up to you to call your insurance company and inquire about the kind of coverage you have. I do not fill out insurance forms; however your insurance company may require you to authorize me to provide them with a clinical diagnosis. This information will become part of the insurance company files and is likely to be stored in a computer. While insurance companies claim to keep such information confidential, I do not have control over how they store or use this information.
